Life with a new baby is a challenge in itself without having to deal with unwanted and recurring negative thoughts, anxiety and symptoms of trauma related to pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period including breastfeeding. I want to put your emotional wellbeing back on the map.
Breastfeeding connects mothers and babies on many levels. I am very aware of it's influence on mothers emotional wellbeing. I want to support you to achieve your goals with feeding your baby in comfortable and natural way.

I am a nurse, midwife and lactation consultant with 30 years experience in both the UK and NZ. Most of my career has been spent helping women and families through their pregnancy, birth and postnatal journeys. I want to support you during the postnatal period because I have spent many years observing how a negative birthing and postnatal experiences can undermine emotional well-being.
I have completed additional study in counselling and psychology to help me help you to bridge the ever widening ‘gap’ that birth trauma can create when trying to ‘move on’ from a traumatic event. After many years supporting women as a lactation consultant, I realise that good, sensitive support can be the difference between ‘make or break’ for breastfeeding.

I am married with two grown up children. I live in Upper Hutt, Wellington. When I’m not working or studying I love to walk my little dog, make mosaics and grow my own veggies.
